On-Boarding: The First 100 Days

On-Boarding - The First 100 Days is for:

Leaders new to the organization at the director-level and above to get them up to speed fast on leadership presence, personal brand, power, politics, influence, organizational cultural norms, leading leaders, leading teams and leading themselves.

Tenured leaders who are moving up and going from senior manager to director, director to senior director, and on up to the vice president level. We reposition the leader and his/her brand from what it was to what it is/should be in the new role. As with a new leader in her/his first 100 days, the focus is on leadership presence, personal brand, power, politics, influence, leading leaders, leading teams and in addition, letting go of the old picture of who they are as a leader and taking on the new role fully within the first 100 days.

The leader can expect to...

Develop a compelling vision of where they need to be at the end of 100 days and the leadership competencies required of them to get there.

Zero in on what's unique about them -- what makes them stand out from the crowd -- and build a strong leadership presence that capitalizes that brand.

Get crystal clear about their leadership strengths and smooth out the rough edges of the aspects of their leadership style that are problematic.

Be politically tuned in to the power dynamics of working with senior leaders and know how to succeed and succeed well within that structure.

Understand their 6 power sources and how to use each effectively.

Sharpen their skills of strategic interpersonal communication, influence, negotiation, and leading others/teams.

Understand and remove the barriers to success associated with limiting beliefs they may have about their own leadership potential.

The leader will emerge with a ...

  • Thorough assessment of their leadership practices/competencies.
  • Well-developed roadmap that includes an intelligent and challenging leadership plan that links to their the required leadership competencies, professional development and business goals.
