Professional Bio: Michele Caplette

Michele Caplette is an executive coach and leadership and organization development consultant who for over fifteen years has designed leadership programs and coached executives and managers as they realize their leadership potential and achieve outstanding results.

Prior to launching her own executive coaching practice, Michele was head of Executive and Leadership Development at Applied Materials where she designed and facilitated innovative development programs for managers at every level. While at Applied, Michele designed and led a powerful worldwide leadership initiative that aligned leadership with business objectives and results. In small management teams, starting with the CEO and his executive staff, well over 1000 senior executives and their teams in the Americas, Europe, and in Asia have successfully completed this leadership process. Within the program Michele coached over 100 executives as well as their teams. In addition, she facilitated an internal coaching network that has supported management teams and many of Applied's selected high potentials.

In her internal work as head of Executive and Leadership Development and in her prior work as an external consultant, Michele has paid particular attention to what it takes for leaders to move the business forward. Ranging from her work with the CEO of a multi-billion dollar high-tech company to his staff and the high potential executives in the product and technical businesses, she has focused her coaching on the practical actions needed to accomplish outstanding results.

Over the course of her career, Michele has honed in on the practical tools that enable excellent results for her executive and manager clients. Her experience of the past 10 years has driven home lessons that she applies to her coaching -- that coaching success is tied to success of the business. She is knowledgeable about what is required to help the business thrive and is able to see how the unique capabilities of her clients can be used in many ways to achieve that success.

Education and Personal
Michele is certified in several world-class leadership feedback instruments, including the Booth 360 and the Lominger Leadership Architect ® Suite of products. Michele earned a doctorate in sociology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She has written several articles on leadership development and teams. In her spare time, Michele enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with her family at Lake Tahoe.
